BANDAR HILIR
In the Bandar Hilir is filled with Red building known as Building Stadthuys. The building was built in 1650 and the building is also the official home of the Dutch Governor and his deputy. Around Stadhuys called Dutch Square there is a church called Christ Church where it was 250 years old. There are also indoor fountains and a water wheel as often seen in the Netherlands. Stadhuys building now placed the Museum of History, Ethnography and Arts to be visited by tourists-wikipedia.
A FAMOSA
A Famosa (Malay: Kota A Famosa; "The Famous" in Portuguese) is a Portuguese fortress located in Malacca, Malaysia. It is among the oldest surviving European architectural remains in south east Asia. The Porta de Santiago, a small gate house, is the only part of the fortress which still remains today.
The name is often mispronounced /eɪ/ Famosa, even among Malaysians, as though the Portuguese definite article a were the English letter A. A more authentic pronunciation would be /ɑː/ Famosa.
MALACCA STRAITS MOSQUE
The Malacca Straits Mosque (Malay: Masjid Selat Melaka) is a mosque located on the man-made Malacca Island near Malacca City in Malacca state, Malaysia.[1] The construction cost of the mosque was about MYR10 million.The opening ceremony was performed on 24 November 2006 by the Supreme Ruler of Malaysia (Yang di-Pertuan Agong) Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Syed Putra Jamalullail. The mosque, which was built using the mix of Middle Eastern and Malay craftsmanship, looks like a floating structure if the water level is high.
JONKER WALK
The Jonker Walk (Malay: Persiaran Jonker, Chinese: 雞場街) is the Chinatown street of Malacca, Malaysia located along Jonker Street (Malay: Jalan Hang Jebat). During the Dutch Malacca, servants and subordinates of Dutch masters used to live at the nearby Heeren Street. However, as the Dutch left, it became noblemen's street. Rich Peranakans started to live and did business within the street area, giving the street a deep-rooted ethnic and cultural flavor. The road starts from across Malacca River near the Stadthuys. The road is filled with historical houses along its left and right sides dating back to 17th century. It also has shops selling antiques, textiles, foods, handicrafts and souvenirs.
